Visit Traditional Services in Killara

Our traditional Anglican communion prayer book services are joyful, warm and engaging, with hymns on the organ & grand piano and choral services monthly.

We’re a community of people genuinely captivated by God, and every Sunday we love gathering together to hear God speak through the Bible, talking to him in prayer, singing his praises, and helping one another to follow Jesus.

Join us this week and we’ll help you find the service that is right for you:

Sunday 8am

Morning service + Communion

Wednesday 10am

Morning service + Communion

If you’re coming for the first time this week and want to let us know, we’ll be sure to look out for you!

What to expect

If you are used a more formal Anglican communion service then you will feel right at home.

Before the service

Parking. There’s plenty of parking on Arnold Street, as well as a small carpark on site behind the main hall.  For those less mobile please park on the flagpole lawn on site with easy access into church through our side (flower room) door.

Welcoming. When you step into church we’ll welcome you with a big smile and print you a name tag. Everyone at church wears a name tag (so you don’t need to worry about remembering everyone’s names!) We will also give you a booklet with the liturgy printed.

During the service

We sing. We love delighting in God, joyfully singing His praise and encouraging one another of the great things He has done. If this is new for you, then feel free to just listen and reflect on the words of the song that will be on the screen.

We listen to the Bible. The life-changing hope Jesus offers is found in God’s Word, and so you will notice that the Bible is central to our gatherings, as it is read and as someone speaks from the Bible about what God is teaching us about himself, our world, and our lives.

We pray and share in the Lord’s Supper. Praying is talking to God and we love that God hears us when we talk to Him. Someone will lead us in prayers up front.

We welcome all Christians to share in the Lord’s Supper with us.  When you come up the rail at the front of the church you will be able to pick up a pre-prepared individual cup with grape juice or be given an individual cup with wine.

After the service

After our services we love to spend (informal) time in community with one another over morning tea at our morning service or dinner at our evening service. It’s a lovely time to get to know people and see more of what church is about.

We’d love you to feel comfortable and relaxed – that’s how we’ll be – so dress in a way that helps you feel that way. In winter you’ll probably find us in jeans and shirts and jumpers. In summer dresses, t-shirts and shorts won’t be out of the ordinary. Come comfortable but don’t feel you need to be dressy to fit in.

We start on time and aim for our services to be just over an hour – shorter than a movie!
